Digital Account Manager, Toronto (permanent full-time position)
Reporting to: Director, Integrated Sales & Marketing Solutions

Position summary:

Location of position: Toronto, Ontario

 

The Reader’s Digest Ad Sales Department is looking for a savvy digital sales expert to join its team. The successful candidate will introduce and sell our digital solutions, working towards closing aggressive revenue targets. You must be results driven and committed to creating new business opportunities with clients and media agencies.

 

Responsibilities

 
  • Identify and cold call prospects to develop new business
  • Negotiate and structure sales agreements
  • Build strong relationships with digital agencies
  • Elevate the Reader’s Digest brand and awareness of its media assets within the industry
  • Identify key trends within your territory
 

Experience & Aptitudes

 
  • 5+ years’ experience in magazine advertising sales, or related experience in ad industry, media, sales, marketing or online publishing
  • Exposure to Agencies and Clients of major national brands
  • Proven history of achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and telephone skills
  • High comfort level in prospecting new business via cold calling
  • Excellent communicator who exudes a passion for digital solutions
  • Ability to get face-to-face time with senior decision makers at both the client and agency level
  • Bilingual would be considered a strong asset
