After Canada won gold in men’s and women’s hockey at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Team Canada Executive Director Wayne Gretzky revealed our secret weapon: The Canadian ice makers hired to prepare the rink had hidden a loonie under centre ice. Gretzky later donated the lucky loonie to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Now we've hidden a loonie—and it’s somewhere in this issue of Our Canada. Can you find it? It could be anywhere or any size, lurking in a photo or hiding in a headline (but it’s not the one on this page)! And we’ll hide one in every issue.
